Whistleblowing at William College

William College is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency and accountability.

Whistleblowing is the process of raising concerns about suspected wrongdoing, misconduct, illegal activity, risks to health and safety, or other serious issues that are in the public interest.

Anyone connected with the College, including staff, students, governors, contractors and external stakeholders, can raise a concern if they reasonably believe that wrongdoing has occurred or may occur. Examples include fraud, financial irregularities, safeguarding concerns, serious health and safety risks, discrimination, research misconduct, regulatory breaches, or attempts to conceal such activities.

The College provides a confidential and supportive process for reporting concerns and is committed to ensuring that individuals who raise genuine concerns are protected from victimisation, retaliation, academic disadvantage or professional detriment.

Concerns can be reported anonymously. The College accepts anonymous disclosures and will consider them carefully, although anonymity may limit our ability to investigate fully or provide updates on the outcome. Individuals who choose to identify themselves will have their information handled confidentially and shared only with those who need to know in order to assess or investigate the concern.
