Wellbeing Services

If you need academic adjustments or extra support, you will need to provide medical evidence or a formal report. In most cases, medical evidence will be a letter from your doctor (General Practitioner or GP) or another appropriate healthcare professional. If you are unsure what evidence to provide, please email us at wellbeing@williamcollege.com for further advice.
Support at William College is flexible and tailored to individual needs. We will discuss your requirements on a case-by-case basis to determine the best options for you. Additionally, we have partnerships with third-party providers who can arrange note-takers, one-to-one support, and other forms of assistance, as needed.

If you're facing challenges, it's important to know that you do not have to struggle alone. We offer drop-in sessions to provide support and assistance. These confidential sessions can take place in person or via teams. These sessions take place during college hours, subject to availability. For urgent matters, you can also book a one-to-one meeting with the Wellbeing Department as an alternative. These can be booked via our email at wellbeing@williamcollege.com.

We offer a variety of workshops, group sessions, and events aimed at enhancing your wellbeing and developing essential skills. These sessions cover topics such as stress management and building resilience. Keep an eye out for announcements and make the most of these opportunities to support your personal and academic growth.

Our wellbeing team provides dedicated support for students who are pregnant or expecting. Our team is here to help you navigate your academic studies while prioritising your health and wellbeing. We offer guidance, adjustments, and practical support throughout your pregnancy to help you continue your studies with confidence.

At William College, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone.
If you have experienced or witnessed an incident that goes against our values of respect, dignity, and equality, we encourage you to report it using our Incident Reporting Form. Even if you are unsure whether a policy has been broken, please report any situation that feels wrong or concerning.
You can report an incident anonymously or provide your details if you would like us to follow up with you. All reports are treated confidentially and with care. Anonymous reports keep your identity private, though the College may be limited in taking action against specific individuals without identifying details. If a report includes information about serious safety concerns, the College may take steps to protect those involved.
Submitting a report does not automatically start a formal complaint; you stay in control of what happens next.

We understand that reporting can be emotional or overwhelming. You don’t have to do it alone. Our Wellbeing Team is here to support you, whether you decide to make a report or not. Please visit the wellbeing team on campus.
